Chandigarh, May 19 : Chandigarh Advisor Manoj Parida on Wednesday inaugurated the Project Q Mini Covid Centre, set up by the Rotary Satellite Club of the Union Territory in association with the local administration
Parida expressed his gratitude to Rotarians R.K. Saboo, Tanu Mehtani and M.P. Singh for contributing for the welfare of the society in such tough times.
The Chandigarh administration will extend every possible help to run this makeshift hospital, he said. ....

Chandigarh, April 30 : With the existing stock of nearly one lakh Covid-19 vaccines to be used for those above the age of 45 years, both for first and second dose, Chandigarh Advisor Manoj Parida said on Friday that vaccination for the new beneficiaries would start only after adequate extra supplies are received.
For the new beneficiaries above 18 years of age, vaccination will start only after adequate extra supplies are received. So the vaccination drive for the 18+ population will not start in Chandigarh on May 1, Parida told the media. ....

Chandigarh Advisor appeals to residents to help set up Covid care centres


Chandigarh Advisor Manoj Parida on Monday appealed to charitable organisations and resident associations to come forward to set up Covid-19 care centres to lessen pressure on government infrastructure.
To reduce pressure on government infrastructure, groups and associations like those of advocates, architects, chartered accountants, traders and public sector undertakings should set up small Covid care centres with 10 or more beds for their members under the supervision of available health workers from private and government sources, Parida said in a statement.
Our city should be dotted with such mini centres that provide bed, food, and care up to oxygen level. Our community centres are available. Some bhawans can be used, he said, adding philanthropists can fund few of these, meant for the poor only . ....
