Jarrod was born May 14, 1979 in DeRidder, La to Rev. Sidney and Gwen Woods and big brother Jonathan. He lived 41 years 9 months and 16 days.
He was the life of any gathering and made life-long friends everywhere he went. A very talented young man artistically and musically. Music was his passion and trumpet was his instrument of choice throughout his school years. He and 4 other boys from the church won the National Fine Arts Competition with their brass ensemble jazz rendition of Amazing Grace in the summer of 1997.
Jarrod graduated from Silsbee Tx High School in 1997, received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education from Southeastern Assemblies of God College in Lakeland, Fl in 2002 where he picked up the keyboard as his favorite instrument. In 2004 he graduated with his Masters in Music from Lee College in Cleveland, Tn. ....
