outfront tonight, american loophole. today, we got this e-mail. i printed it out, from the u.s. state department. it announces u.s. sanctions against an oil company based in syria for doing business with iran. now, at first we thought, hey, this is proof of how tough sanctions really are. they re going after everybody. after all, here s the president and the secretary of state talking about how tough american sanctions on iran are. this resolution will put in place the toughest sanctions ever faced by the iranian government. the sanctions will be tough and clearly aimed at the iranian economy. the sanctions have enormous bite and enormous scope. but when we took a second look, buried deep in the state department release, was this quote on page two of my printout. any, my emphasis, business that continues to irresponsibly support iran s energy sector or helps evade u.s. sanctions will face serious consequences. certainly tough talk. but does it add up? no. just ....

go inside the temple where six people died at the hands of a white supremacist. we will take you there. let s go out front. good evening, everyone, i ve erin burnett. outfront tonight, out of balance. mitt romney took to the air waves today to lament the tone of the election and slam his rival. i m seeing some of the ads out there. i don t know what happened to the campaign of hope and change. his campaign and the people working for him have focused almost exclusively on person attacks and not at all on the issues of the day. personal attacks and not at all on the issues of the day. that charge actually goes both ways. both mitt romney and barack obama are guilty as sin. as those of you who watch the show know, we tried from day one to try to sand box poitics and find middle ground. quote, the campaign has already set records for nastiness and negativity. he says, this campaign has the sensibilities and i.q. of a typical middle school student council election. i ....

report facts. we begin tonight with the new mitt romney ad. in 1996, president clinton and a bipartisan congress helped end welfare as we know it. but on july 12th president obama announced a program to gut welfare. under obama s plan you wouldn t have to work or train for a job. they just send you your check. in a moment you ll hear from newt gingrich to defend the ad. but first, i want to show you how mitt romney is campaigning on the claims made in that very ad. with a very careful compuexee action, he removed the requirement of work from welfare. it is wrong to make any change that would make america a nation of government dependency. we must restore and i will restore work into welfare. listening to that and watching the ad you would think that the white house somehow managed to undo what the elected representatives accomplished on welfare reform. you get the obama administration wants an america where hard working americans pay taxes and lazy ones sit arou ....

in 1996, president clinton and a bipartisan congress helped end welfare as we know it. but on july 12th president obama announced a program to gut welfare reform by dropping work requirements. under obama s plan you wouldn t have to work or train for a job. they just send you your check. and welfare to work goes back to being plain old welfare. in a moment you ll hear from newt gingrich to defend the ad. he also makes a pretty stunning admission about whether the ad he is defending is true to the facts. but first, i want to show you how mitt romney is campaigning on the claims made in that very ad. with a very careful executive action, he removed the requirement of work from welfare. it is wrong to make any change that would make america a nation of government dependency. we must restore and i will restore work into welfare. listening to that and watching the ad you would think that the white house somehow managed to undo what the elected representatives accompl ....

store. gabby giffords survived and is still recovering. he will avoid the death penalty. after the hearing a number of survivors came together outside the courthouse. give up this hopelessness in this country that we can t do anything. because we can and we must. these taboo words, gun control can be spoken plainly in the halls of congress again. one of ways i believe we can make good come out of this, is to begin some common sense discussion about who should bear arms. what hands should firearms go into. kyung lah was in the courtroom. he seemed calmer than previous appearances. clearly medicated. when he first walked into the courtroom, he did have an unusual look on his face a he looked at the public at his family and reporters and some of the victims. he looked very briefly at everyone and sat down. he was very calm. he sat very still and he was able to engage with his attorney as well as respond to questions from the judge. this is different from the jare ....
