A new audio recording sheds more light on the death of Quawan Charles, a 15-year-old Black teen who was found dead in a shallow Louisiana marsh with his face mutilated. Janet Irvin, a white woman who was one of the last people to see Charles alive, can be heard in the recording telling a private investigator that she failed to immediately call police when she realized the teen had disappeared from her home. “Yes I should have called the cops.
