This week sage advice — and not from the government either. The suggestion is to plant salvia, a member of the sage family, one of those plants especially welcome because they light up these dark, dour, days. Salvia in its many, many guises will provide splashes of garden colour when most is lost — and down here, in our mild climes, it does so well into winter.
