40 people donate at blood drive in Jamestown
45 blood products were collected at the event. 7:00 am, Mar. 8, 2021 × First United Methodist Church hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on Feb. 22 which helped collect 45 units of blood products for patients in need. Fifty-four individuals volunteered to donate blood, and 40 were able to donate at the drive. Five people gave Power Red Cells (2RBC), which collects two units of red blood cells while returning platelets, plasma and a saline solution to the donor. One person volunteered for the first time.
