The new numbers will account for 529 ballots accidentally left in a vote drop box on the Chico State Campus. On December 8, the office discovered a sealed official ballot drop box that contained mail ballots that were deposited prior to the November 3, 2020 deadline at 8:00 p.m. The drop was located outside of the Bell Memorial Union. These ballots were not included in the certified results published on November 30, 2020. Once recounted those votes did not change the outcome of any local races, however, Measure E, which confirmed Chico s District Based Council passed by a narrower margin of 95 votes. ....
