The High Point interim city manager appointed the current interim chief of police as the official chief of police department Wednesday.Jonathan Travis Stroud, who goes by Travis, will begin the position on May 2, Interim City Manager Randy McCaslin said. “Travis has demonstrated his dedication and leadership in our police department for many years,” McCaslin said. “Chief Stroud also excelled in the interim role since this past August.
