Combing operations against those behind bomb attacks planned - Newspaper

QUETTA: A meeting presided over by Balochistan Chief Secretary Fazeel Asghar has decided to launch intelligence-based combing operations in the province to arrest elements involved in two bomb blasts which targeted rallies organised to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day in Quetta and Sibi recently.
The meeting also reviewed the overall law and order situation in the province and decided to take strict security measures against anti-peace elements.

QUETTA: Provincial Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove said on Tuesday that a mechanism would be evolved in consultation with the Afghan government for addressing the matter of lands belonging to villagers living on both sides of the Pak-Afghan border. Such pieces of land stand divided due to fencing by Pakistan to stop illegal crossing by citizens from both sides as well as to keep an eye on terror suspects.
The minister was presiding over a meeting here on Tuesday to review the fencing and land settlement issues.
Pakistan is erecting the fence along the Afghanistan and Iran borders to stop infiltration of illegal people into the country. It has completed over 80 per cent fencing of the Pak-Afghan border and around 30 per cent of the Pak-Iran border. ....

QUETTA: Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove on Monday said a province-wide operation had been launched against the terrorists involved in the Mach massacre and other terrorist attacks.
Presiding over a meeting to discuss the overall law and order situation in the province, he said the government would go to any extent till the elimination of terrorism.
The meeting reviewed a progress report about tracing out the terrorists involved in slaughtering 11 innocent coal miners in Mach recently.

Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau announced that a large-scale operation has been launched against terrorists in Balochistan.
While addressing a high-level law and order meeting in Balochistan, he termed the new ‘wave of unrest’ in the province as a conspiracy hatched by the enemies of Pakistan including anti-national forces. “The operation will be extended till every terrorist is eliminated.”
The report presented on the Machh tragedy was also reviewed during the meeting.
Langau added that Balochistan is the war zone of the region and terrorists are carrying out operations under a plan to destabilise the law and order in the province. ....
