Rutland prepped to ramp up vaccine clinic

RUTLAND On the heels of its first round of dispensing COVID-19 vaccines to residents, the town is preparing to dispense second doses in its position as lead of a 12-community collaborative, the select board learned at its Feb. 22 meeting.
Beginning March 8, the second dose needed to help ensure COVID-19 immunity will be available to those who have already received their first shots, such as persons age 75 and older.
The clinic, which will continue to take place at the lower level of the Rutland Public Library, will be opened to those age 65 and older as well as persons with comorbidities for their first round of the vaccine at that time.
