And because of the budget crunch that many states are seeing we are seeing the pipeline get cut. a couple reports out even over the weekend of eliminating pre-k programs because some of these states have no money. arizona for example wants to eliminate 5,500 child programs entirely. illinois was forced to cut $32 million from their fiscal pre-k budget and have plans to slash $50 million more. we re seeing this repeated in many states across the country. what do we do about the fact that when money dries up pre-k and some of these vital programs for young, young kids get cut? all of that is a disaster. reducing pre-k, eliminating summer skoom andchool and after none of these are good for education. a bill passed the senate last week, going to the house tomorrow, a $10 billion package that would save north of 160,000 teacher jobs around the country. we re very hopeful that will pass the house tomorrow. if it does we ll keep those teachers teaching in the classroom, not in the ....
