Amazon Cancels its The Lord of the Rings MMO Amazon Games Studios’ The Lord of the Rings MMO has been cancelled due to contract disputes between Amazon and Tencent. Back in 2019, Amazon Game Studios announced a partnership with China-based Leyou Technologies. The partnership would see both parties team up to develop a brand new MMO based on The Lord of the Rings. Unfortunately, nearly two years later, the game has been cancelled.
