The six-time IndyCar champion from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, is currently 10 victories away from tying AJ Foyt for the most IndyCar victories following a fuel-mileage win in the 2024 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.
Scott Dixon and his crew, who started 8th, took a gamble after a caution in the early stages of the race to pit before anyone else and hopefully save enough fuel to cycle to the lead in the end. That's exactly what happened as Dixon would lead the final 22 laps to take the win in the Long Beach Grand Prix, his 57th career win.
Dixon was able to save his fuel and tires down the stretch, leading the final 23 laps on Sunday.
