The Ebonyi State government has stated that it was not behind the Nigerian police invasion of the rally of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, in the state on Saturday, where some members were also arrested. The Special Assistant to Governor David Umahi on Media and Strategy, Chooks Okoh, said he was not aware of the disruption of the march by the supporters of the LP. He, however, added that the organisers did not pay the required fees to stage the march.
