Minister Weir accused of 'hissy fit' over Welsh exam board decision affectiing Northern Ireland pupils
The Education Minister has been accused of having “a hissy fit” over his decision that schools in Northern Ireland can no longer provide Welsh Exam Board qualifications for pupils. The comment came from Sinn Fein MLA Pat Sheehan in Wednesday’s Education Committee, and followed the news that the Governing Bodies Association, which represents grammar schools in Northern Ireland, and NI Drama have written to the minister calling on him to reverse his decision.
