A man who once tried to run from police, but hit a tree and knocked himself out, appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday and entered a not guilty plea to the latest drug-related charges filed against him.
The most recent arrest for 34-year-old Christopher Mackey of Viola came on Feb. 11 when a vehicle he was driving was stopped by an Arkansas State Police trooper for a minor equipment infraction.
During the stop, a plastic bag was found containing approximately 23.5 grams of a white crystalline substance, two digital scales, a device used to ingest drugs, three syringes and other paraphernalia. ....
