Police launch campaign against driving while on the phone

GNR, PSP and the National Road Safety Authority have launched r the Road Safety Campaign At the wheel, the mobile phone can wait , to alert drivers to the danger of using the phone while driving.
In a statement, GNR and PSP said the campaign, part of the National Control Plan for 2020, will take place until 14 December and aims to alert drivers to the negative and even fatal consequences of using their mobile phones while driving.
During the campaign, ANSR s awareness raising actions and inspection operations will be carried out by the GNR and PSP, with a special focus on roads and access roads with high traffic flow. ....
