乘车码预计将不再是地铁、公交单独计算，而是有望打通累计。市交通局介绍，正开发统一的“广州公共交通码”，可乘坐公交、地铁、水巴等不同公共交通方式，正在羊城通APP上测试运行，待稳定后再正式应用。
乘车码和交通卡的优惠将无差别一视同仁。市交通局指，两者在支付方面各有优势，使用群体也各有侧重，不适宜因采用不同的支付方式而对不同乘客采取差异化优惠。
乘车码和交通卡能否合并计算优惠？市交通局称，目前交通卡属于离线交易模式，技术上暂无法做到实体卡和线上累加，且两者累加存在多人使用同一账户的漏洞，可能造成财政补贴资金被不合理使用。
2、公交出行常客，平均支出不超过收入的4%
《办法》特别提到一个数字：“实施公共交通票价优惠后，经常性公共交通出行乘客平均支出占广州市城市常住 ....

　　记者今天获悉，广州地铁票价优惠新方案实施改造项目正在招标，预计票价方案维持不变，但优惠方案将会调整。根据《广州市公共交通票价优惠管理办法（征求意见稿）》，未来优惠覆盖面将扩大至使用乘车码的群体，新增低收入人群“兜底”优惠，公共交通常客的平均支出原则上不超过人均可支配收入的4%。
