A LEADING charity is to continue emergency food deliveries direct to residents most in need instead of asking them to attend their foodbank.

A FORMER Bonhill resident is taking part in a tough endurance race to raise money for a local food bank. Michael Young is raising money for West Dunbartonshire Community Foodshare (WDCF) by running the 96-mile West Highland Way from Fort William to Milngavie in less than 35 hours. The recruitment specialist is already almost a third of the way towards his £2,000 target in an online fund-raiser. A LOCAL food bank has spoke about the kind generosity handed to them by Clydebank residents in the run up to Christmas. West Dunbartonshire Community Foodshare has been busy operating from its food outlet in Clydebank, with many health and safety restrictions put in place. The team of volunteers have also been doing a home delivery service alongside foodbank partner Food for Thought for people referred by the council’s Crisis team.
