Garrett D. Jones, 26, listed as homeless out of Granite City, was charged Feb. 26 with unlawful possession of weapons by a felon, a Class 3 felony. Mark A. Thompson, 62, was charged Feb. 18 with aggravated driving while under the influence, a Class 2 felony. The case was presented by the Edwardsville Police Department. On Feb. 13 Thompson allegedly was found to be driving a 2002 Dodge Dakota while under the influence of alcohol. It was noted that he had prior convictions for similar crimes in 2009 and 2014.
