PHOTO PROVIDED Mrs. Jodie Walizer’s high school homeroom at Sugar Valley Rural Charter School released 70 Rainbow Fingerlings into Fishing Creek on May 5. Despite a rough start due to Covid sanitation of the classrooms, the class was able to successfully care for and raise the small trout to the point of release. When the students arrived at the stream, they began investigating to ensure they were releasing in a viable area.   LINCOLN, NEB.– The Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation awarded the Ron Hanson Collegiate Leader Scholarship to two members of Collegiate Farm Bureau at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln (UNL) who are pursuing degrees from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR). Emily Reitz and Miranda Hornung, both juniors at CASNR, received $1,500 scholarships. École Wascana Plains School forecast to double capacity by 2025: report

  REGINA -- The Queen City is continuing to experience growing pains on the education front as a new report from Regina Public Schools projects École Wascana Plains School in the Greens area of the city to reach to nearly double its capacity by 2025. The school’s capacity is listed as 650, with a current total of 861 students and an expectation to surpass 1,000 in 2022.
