Mary Bastholm, 15, who worked at the cafe, went missing in the city on 6 January 1968. She has never been found. On Friday, documentary-makers called officers to The Clean Plate, where West was a regular customer in the 1960s. His wife Rose's former lawyer Leo Goatley said it "wouldn't surprise me if a body was found there".
