Malaysian energy giant Petronas's renewable energy arm Gentari Sdn Bhd is leading the race for a part of India's renewable portfolio from Brookfield Asset Management.
Gentari Sdn Bhd, the renewable energy arm of Malaysian energy giant Petronas, is the frontrunner for a part of the India renewable portfolio of Brookfield Asset Management, said two people aware of the development.
Currently, Brookfield has about 20 GW of wind and solar assets in operation or in the development pipeline across India. Investment bank JP Morgan has been hired to run the process, said people aware of the matter.
