Southend Clarence Yard: Restaurant to shut in £600k new flats plan
A FISH and chip restaurant is set to be replaced by flats in a £600,000 scheme after bosses claimed parking charges and high street decline hit the business hard. Stockvale, the parent company of Adventure Island and other Southend hotspots, is behind the plans for the Clearance Yard restaurant in Clarence Street. If agreed, the development would see the restaurant and offices converted into four new flats.
