Some evacuees are finally getting some good news. This santa cruz wildfire is a monster. Tonight some evacuees are finally getting some good news. Here is the latest. The loma fire has burned nearly 3000 acres. It is 22 contained. We spoke with neighbors who are watching and waiting. It is nerveracking. Reporter he is closely watching the fire. He stayed home while most of his neighbors were evacuated. The flames are close. Tonight will be the night that determines whether i have a him tomorrow. Reporter sheriff officials told evacuees in some areas they could go back to their home. The area where evacuees are being allowed back in is remote. You can see one home on a hilltop painted red.
