By GCN Staff Apr 27, 2021 To improve the declining reliability of Marine Corps data transmitted via Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) technology, the Defense Information System Agency’s Cloud Computing Program Office has developed and tested a new technology called CLOAK, or Cloud Layered Obfuscation Application Kit. VSAT uses satellite systems to support high-bandwidth voice, video and data applications such as video conferencing between locations.
