NFU Mutual is investing £100 million with Clowes Developments to fund the development of six new logistics facilities in the UK totalling 1 million ft2. The deal will see the delivery of six new Grade A logistics warehouses, five speculative and the sixth a pre-let across three of Clowes Development’s sites – EMDC, Castlewood Business Park and Centrix Park. The size of the units will range from 58,586 sq ft at Centrix Park to a unit of close to 250,000 sq ft at EMDC. Neil Tague The £90m highways project has been opened to traffic following its completion by contractor Graham. The 5.5km Wolstenholme Elmy Way joins the A534 Sandbach Road to the west and the A536 Macclesfield Road to the north. The project has released close to 50 acres of employment land. The route had opened to the public to walk and cycle along at the weekend before opening to vehicles for the working week. £83m of Government funding to unlock 3,000 new homes in Nottinghamshire An £83m package of Government funding has been agreed to accelerate the delivery of 3,000 homes at Fairham, a 606-acre mixed use development on the edge of Nottingham. From: 15 March 2021 The funding will support the delivery of the infrastructure needed to bring Fairham forward, accelerating the creation of new homes and jobs for the area.
