In response to a spate of student suicides, the city police in Kota, India has established a dedicated "Student Cell" to provide support to students experiencing stress and depression. The cell operates a helpline and conducts random checks in hostels, interacting with students and offering counseling. The team of police personnel, who are in their 40s and have teenage children themselves, aim to understand the challenges faced by the students.
The tests will help in finding out suicidal tendencies among students so that they could be provided with timely counselling. | Latest News India
