DIG gets nod from govt for formation of Coastal Highway Police
QUETTA:
The Balochistan government has approved the formation of the Coastal Highway Police for security of the coastal highway.
DIG Highways Balochistan Barkat Hussain Khosa has been assigned a special task to form the Coastal Highway Police.
DIG Khosa reached Gwadar on a three-day visit where he will inspect different sections of Makran Coastal Highway in regards to the formation of the police force.
The Coastal Highway Police will consist of 1,000 personnel. Two rescue centres will be set up on the coastal highway and check posts will be set up at nine different places. 100 personnel will be deployed for each post.
