NASCAR Cup Series driver Cody Ware was arrested Monday in North Carolina and is now facing assault charges, officials said.
Race organizers are now offering the chance to buy advanced tickets at Bowman Gray.
Ware was charged with "assault on a female and assault by strangulation inflicting serious injury," leading to indefinite suspension from NASCAR competition.
Ware missed Sunday night's race at Bristol for what his father's team said was a "personal matter."
