Greenfield care home supports charity using 'purple power'
Staff and residents at a care home in Greenfield dressed up in purple last week, to raise awareness and funds for Crohn's and Colitis UK, as part of Crohns and Colitis Awareness Week. Activities co-ordinator at Morfa Newydd Care Home, Dawne Vaughan, arranged an afternoon of musical entertainment and said the residents and staff really enjoyed getting into the spirit of things. Morfa Newydd Care Home manager Leanne Jones said the home is always looking for new ways to brighten up the residents' day and it is lovely to be able to raise awareness at the same time.
