LISBON An 18-month prison sentence was imposed against a Wellsville man, who pleaded guilty recently to abduction, domestic violence, intimidation of a victim and having weapons while under a disability.
Joah T. Leffler, 37, Sherwood Road, Wellsville, denied at Monday’s sentencing hearing in Common Pleas Court that he harmed his very pregnant girlfriend, Tiffany Allen, on June 18 and June 19.
According to his defense attorney, Colleen Hall Dailey, the couple had a “rocky relationship” and Allen has since recanted the story. She said Leffler only pleaded guilty to the charge because he did not know whether his girlfriend would take the stand during a trial and tell which version of the story.
