Tigerhawk hoops split with BGM, girls get first win
By Newton News Expand Kyra Lester COLFAX â A big second half propelled Colfax-Mingo's girls' basketball team against BGM on Tuesday night. The Tigerhawks and Bears were tied at halftime, but Colfax-Mingo outscored BGM 29-14 in the second half to win 47-32 at home during South Iowa Cedar League play. Colfax-Mingo (1-4 overall, 1-3 in conference play) held BGM to single-digit scoring in all four quarters. The Tigerhawks put in 18 points in the fourth to pull away.
