Man shot trying to disarm gunman at woman's home in Plain City, police say
PLAIN CITY — A man was shot Wednesday after he tried to disarm another man who entered a woman's home with a handgun, according to Weber County Sheriff's Office. Weber County Sheriff's Lt. Cortney Ryan said that Ogden police were notified of a domestic dispute at a park near 9th Street and Liberty Avenue, but the victim had been able to leave. A news release from Ryan says police identified the suspect as Colton Sheperd. When the woman went to her home in Plain City, she arrived to find Sheperd in her home with a handgun, Ryan wrote.
