Saudi Arabia Launches Rainwater Harvesting Project to Rehabilitate 620,000 Hectares of Land

NCVC Plants 150,000 Trees in Saiysad National Park in Taif

The National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC) has finished planting 150,000 trees in Saiysad National Park, Taif, as part of the national program for planting 10 billion trees to realize the targets of the Saudi Green Initiative. The trees were jujube, acacia, seyal, acacia asak, and Vachellia flava. Also planted were plants such as dodonaea and henna, SPA reported. The project covered eight of the park's 28 million square meters; it is one of the largest land parks in the Makkah region and one of the oldest in the Kingdom.
