Digital exam copies of Tales of Two Americas: Stories of Inequality in a Divided Nation, the 2021-22 Common Reading book, are available for request by faculty and staff interested in considering use of the book for courses or student programming in the coming year. Texas State Common Experience revealed its theme for the 2021-2022 academic year will be “Compassion.”  The theme is a scholarly real-world look at the identity of the Texas State community, focusing on topics such as mindfulness, support, relief and genuine human kindness.  Twister Marquiss, director of the Common Experience, says this theme was chosen since it addressed something unique and something that he feels the community needed, especially after the past year.
