The Bootleg Fire was first reported at about 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7 on Fuego Mountain approximately 11 miles northeast of Sprague River. Credit Inciweb Governor Kate Brown Tuesday invoked the Emergency Conflagration Act in response to the Jack Fire that broke out in Douglas County Monday evening. The fire is estimated to be 900 acres in size in steep terrain and is located near the community of Dry Creek.
