Mayoral candidate Mark Sutcliffe promises tax cap of 2.5%, $35M in cuts
He's promising to cap property tax increases at 2.5 per cent in 2023 and 2024 and says he'll find $35 million in savings partly by cutting 200 staff positions. Candidates Bob Chiarelli and Mike Maguire want a tax freeze, while Catherine McKenney would cap the annual hike at 3 per cent.
