Submission deadline approaching for Indigenous community projects


Reconciliation and supporting the priorities of our Indigenous communities are important for the Government of Saskatchewan, Minister Responsible for First Nations, Métis and Northern Affairs Don McMorris said. Through our First Nations and Métis Community Partnership Project Program, we want to continue funding Indigenous-led projects that will lead to healing, reconciliation and long-term partnerships.
Last year, the grant program prioritized locally developed projects related to issues raised by the National Inquiry into Missing Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. The program provided $400,000 to support such projects in 2020-21.

Deadline approaching for Sask. Indigenous, Métis community project spring intake

The deadline for the spring intake of Indigenous or Métis community projects looking for Government of Saskatchewan funding is approaching.
Until May 14th, Indigenous and Métis groups will be able to apply for a grant from the province, if their projects support economic, social and cultural building. If they meet the requirements, the $300,000 in total funding will be dispersed by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Government Relations.
Minister Responsible for First Nations, Métis and Northern Affairs Don McMorris said in a statement that they want to continue funding Indigenous-led projects that will lead to healing, reconciliation and long-term partnerships through our First Nations and Métis Community Partnership Project Program. ....

Until May 14, the Government of Saskatchewan is accepting applications for the spring intake of Indigenous community projects that support economic, social and cultural projects lead by Saskatchewan Indigenous organizations.  Administered by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Government Relations, the Program will provide $300,000 to eligible projects in 2021-22.
In the coming year, this grant program will continue to support the priorities of the Saskatchewan Plan for Growth.  By supporting strong Indigenous communities and growth, it benefits all Saskatchewan people.
