Rating: Application Area:Nucleic acid purification "We purchased a Hamilton liquid handler with a nanoliter dispenser, worth over $40k for that piece. It was made in Switzerland. We used it only a few dozen times and it broke. When we asked Hamilton to fix it, they said they no longer carry that product and cannot support it. As it was past the one-year warranty period by the time we had set up the instrument and were using it regularly, basically each plate cost us maybe over $1000 to dispense.
