Things will get noticeably better. they were talking about the staff scheduling system being changed. it was a computer system. but also they didn t have enough equipment to deice the planes. exactly right. the computer problems are supposed to be solved. they allegedly are solved now. southwest has had these computer glitches for well over a year or two. a year or so ago, we had the same thing. the computer system failed. it was a melt doub and an important one. for them to say they didn t know where the planes or crew were was huge. but that part has been fixed. so many other things in the system, the sl has broken down. it s time for congress and the department of transportation to reregulate this industry. i think all of us who fly we have experienced so many frustrations over the past few months. the national transportation safe tu board, which is investigating last month s near collision on ....

How do the incidents happen? let s bring in a former faa official. a week after the disas tress computer problems at faa. it hasn t been a great week for aviation considering with southwest and all the cancellations that went on. you have a couple of issues. the air side part of an airport, runways, taxi ways and gates is the most dangerous area of an airport. you have so many vehicles moving around. aircraft moving around and here where you had the jetblue aircraft normally you have two wing walkers kind of watching so when they are backing the aircraft out nothing touches. i m not sure what happened. maybe somebody wasn t paying attention, maybe the tug took a sharp turn when he wasn t supposed to. it doesn t happen very often but unfortunately these aircraft aren t made for bumper cars. any time they come in contact ....
