Phone to no avail. he suggests people should try it live. of course the president not addressing the sub tans of what holmes testified to. saying sondland told him about the president s priorities in ukraine. it is amusing to imagine the president in the oval office trying this out for himself. i want to bring back out team. jennifer, where do you see this the process moving forward i think is still sort of confusing for a will the of us. the judiciary committee and then in the senate what does it look like in the judiciary committee? we don t really know. except they will be taking this up. there will be some form of public hearings there before the house vote. and that s where the democrats have an opportunity to put the case together in way that s understandable and that make sense to people. that hits all highlights of the testimony in one place. and a couple of hours. ....

For a brand new president like zelensky who s used to dealing with the russian swamp. in other words, the sort of typical corruption that happens in autooceracies and authoritarian regimes. not used to hearing that so much from the united states. it s got to be sort of confusing and a dark message. all you got to do is play along to make a point and that s all we need from you. they definitely understood they needed to do something if they wanted the things they really needed to protect their can country better. we saw the opening statement from devin nunes who was once again attacking the process and attacking the fact that they were sitting there. as we ve heard from him over successive days. but then there was a it allal b little bit of a shift. ambassador sondland, you are ....

Service, appreciate you all being here today. throughout this process i have said that i want to learn the facts so we can get to the truth. so why are we here? because of two things that occurred during the president s july 25th phone call with ukranian president zelensky. use of the phrase do us a favor though, in reference to the 2016 election, and mention of the word biden. i believe both statements were inappropriate, misguided foreign policy, and certainly not how the executive current or in the future should handle such a call. over the course of the hearings the american people have learned about a series of events that in my view have undermined our national security and undercut ukraine, key partner on the front lines against russian aggression. we heard of u.s. officials carrying uncoordinating, confusing, conflicted messages that created doubt at a time ....

Have article ii of the constitution here. and it says that a president can be removed on conviction of treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors. so when you have it there, you use the word. david, it s a lot easier to argue somebody took a bribe or offered a bribe than it is to get into a conversation about what is a high crime or misdemeanor. because it s exactly in the constitution. i think this gives democrats a little more leverage. and it s clear with the public. and what the democrats need overall is they need a much better messaging process of their own. they need some gravitas in the way we talk about this. john, is this is what it s like? i would agree. and i don t think it s too late to put that word out, and that word will likely stick more than quid pro quo, which is kind of confusing. i think that the quid pro quo really started in the white house with trump, who when he was making some of these calls to people like sondland said for ....
