Free Iowa Raptors Workshop Thursday World-class birder Kelly McKay will present a workshop on Iowa Raptors on Thursday, March 18th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at The Swiss Valley Nature Center. This program was postponed from February. Raptors are known for their abililty to capture live prey with an array of tools such as razor sharp talons and hooked beaks. Eagles, hawks, kites, falcons, and owls are all considered raptors. Vultures are often considered raptors as well.
