Two candidates running for southwest Missouri's congressional seat are under fire from a former state senator for a map that splits Webster County.
The Missouri House on Thursday strongly rejected Senate alterations and have again asked the two chambers to meet and negotiate.
The House vote against the map comes after the Senate rejected the House’s request for a conference committee to find a compromise on the bill. If the stalemate doesn’t break, the task of drawing the maps would likely go to the courts.
