Constitution's preamble: Karnataka govt organises mega event of reading Constitution's preamble, tens of lakhs of people from India, abroad participate
The Karnataka government organized a large-scale event to celebrate the International Day of Democracy by reading the Constitution's preamble. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah led the celebrations, with millions of people from India and abroad participating. The government had expected around 5 to 10 lakh people to register, but nearly 2.28 crore people registered online. The aim of the event was to promote understanding of democracy and the Constitution, particularly among the youth.
