Advent-owned NielsenIQ is set to secure EU antitrust clearance for its proposed acquisition of German market research firm GfK on the condition GfK sells its consumer panel business, people familiar with the matter said. U.S. consumer market research company NielsenIQ, which is present in more than 90 markets covering more than 90% of the world's population, announced the deal a year ago. The European Commission, which is scheduled to complete its preliminary review of the deal by July 4, declined to comment.

The panel stated that RR had breached the trust of the complainant and engaged in unfair trade practice. It said that since no rebuttal to the allegations was made, the allegations went unchallenged and there was a deficiency in service.

The complainant had taken a loan from Mahindra to buy the car but he defaulted on one of the instalments; Mahindra had sought that the defaulted EMI be paid with 36% interest but when the complainant went to pay, the financial firm asked for a higher amount and instead took possession of the car forcefully through its agent.

The order was passed on a complaint by Ganpat Yenpe against Future General India Insurance Co Ltd, Cabal Insurance Co Ltd and Government of Maharashtra.
