The Consumers’ Foundation yesterday said it “raises both hands in favor” of a proposed ban on polystyrene cups and urged the public to support businesses that have implemented sustainable practices. The proposed ban, announced on Wednesday by the Environmental Protection Agency, is expected to take effect in July next year.
