Meanwhile, BBMP Chief Health Officer Dr Bala Sundar said the BBMP was adjudged as the best municipality for implementing anti-tobacco norms by a well-known organisation. “I have already taken measures to prevent smoking and sale of tobacco products on the BBMP Head Office premises. I will form three teams to enforce the ban on sale of tobacco products and people smoking on the BBMP Head Office premises. I have information on the selling of tobacco products by tea vendors. I will look into the matter,’’ said Dr Bala Sundar.
