Evacuation plans that would take oil spill cleanup operations into account. st. bernard parish says it will suspend all operations 72 hours before a tropical storm is scheduled to hit. that means moving all this equipment to a safe area that they can stage it until the storm passes through. if a storm should hit the coast here, they have to evacuate residents and then declare eight hot zone until they can get officials into that area to check it and make sure there aren't contaminated areas. they have to clean all that up before people come back in so compounding the problems if a storm should...
