Patrolman Lonchiadis was shot at point blank range as he begged for his life and told his killer that he had a wife and two children. On the night of Wednesday, March 5, 1975, Patrolman Lonchiadis was investigating the theft of a car from a Route 9 gas station. 16 year old, 62 Edgar Bowser wrestled Lonchiadis' gun from him, forced him into a car trunk, and shot and killed him.
